  1. wow Mike that was amazing timing. my sister and i got home from the event a few hours ago. wasn’t it SO much fun!!! i still can’t believe it was all four of them!!!!!!!!!!!!! the guys were incredibly friendly. i wish we had more time w/ them but there were soooo many people that everybody got about 30 secs. w/ them. They were really amazing to meet. The experience was simply unforgetable! Thanks to Jarrod, Drew, Jeremy, and Steve for the BEST birthday gift ever! A very special thanks to Steve for the picture. I’m sure these will forever remember me as the annoying camera girl. lol. thanks again!!!

  2. These guys and gals (all three full casts of Jersey Boys), are extremely gracious, professional and definitely recognize their fans!!!!! I had to get some photos of the 2nd Touring cast over to the JBB because most of their photos circulate on Broadwayworld or Broadway.com.

It was definitely thrilling and a great surprise to see that the four principal male actors were the ones showing up, after so much guessing and suspense occurred as to the guests’ identities.

Even though everyone had a short time to chat, I was able to ask them about their plans at the AIDS Walk, but they were unsure what would be in store for them on July 15th. I’d place my money on probably them cheerleading and giving inspiration to walkers on the sidelines, in addition to providing some entertainment at the start. I would imagine a mob scene that may distract from the walk if all the fans hung around the cast. I’m sure they would not mind, at the least but probably would hold them up if they were to perform during their matinee at 2PM.

I really hope for more public appearances with the 2nd Touring Cast….. If yesterday was an indication, it looks like more and more fans are catching “Jersey Boys fever”!

  3. Mike, thanks for a great slide show. Great to see Steve Gouveia again; met him many times in NYC. And Jarrod does look a bit like Frankie many decades ago!!Re walking on the 15th, my bud Craig Laurie (Bob Crewe) tells me they are. Craig–if you’re reading this–I want to see your pedometer!!

  4. i can definitely believe that mike. that sounds sensible and yeah they do have that matinee to catch unless they canceled it for the event. i’m guessing that they’re actually going to walk though because people have sponsered them so doesn’t that mean they HAVE to walk?

  5. Anything’s possible. Jeremy Kushnier told me that they did not know what was planned for the day’s activities at the AIDS Walk.

I overheard a few fans at Macy’s asking the “Boys” and their publicist about walking with them while they made their way down the course. They were totally open to the idea, but I guess it was up to the publicists to see what activities, in addition to walking, would be in store for them so that they could get from Golden Gate Park to the Curran in time for the matinee performance.

For what it’s worth, I have my donation in to the AIDS Walk and will definitely be there to say “hello” to the cast. Good thing I don’t have to be at the Curran Theatre until nighttime for the 7:30 PM show….. Boy, will the dogs be barking afterwards, but it’s for a great cause!!!!! I’m sure they’ll (JB Cast) be in great shape since they’re so active onstage day in and day out….. Most of the fans attending both the AIDS Walk and show will probably limp (LOL) to the stage door afterwards to congratulate the cast for their support!

    See ya there!

  6. i was thinking that if it gets too close on time they might have to be police escorted or something to the theater. that would be a sight to see. true, they are in great shape but no matter what i think they’re going to be exhausted by the end of the day. two shows and the walk! my sister and i are hoping to go to that evening’s performance but we’ll see if luck is on our side. both of us hope to see u at the walk, mike.

  7. Is the matinee still showing on the schedule? I figured they would’ve cancelled it.

  8. It’s there, and that would be an awful lot of refunds.
