Entertainment guru extraordinaire Robin Leach sat down with the JERSEY BOYS Las Vegas Four Seasons recently. The cast talked about their exciting move to Paris Las Vegas–and other surprises:
After three years at the Palazzo, the cast of “Jersey Boys†has moved a quarter-mile down the Strip to their new home at the Paris, and now they are looking forward to at least another three-year run. They also have a slightly larger stage for performances — 12 feet wider than before.Nothing has changed except the cast of five who perform eight shows weekly, with Travis Cloer and new cast member Graham Fenton alternating as Frankie Valli to do four shows each, and newcomer Rob Marnell as Bob Gaudio. The guys say that the three weeks of rehearsals before the opening enabled them to make the show stronger.
“The creative team gave each of us individually and together as a group amazing new things to think about with our characters,†said Travis when I met with them backstage. “That resulted in the show feeling completely different, fresh and new. The audience wouldn’t necessarily know, but to us it’s a country mile, and with that extra 12 feet means we get a different perspective and different marks to hit.
“But all the staging remains the same. It’s so exciting to get all these little nuances in our show and to be able to work on relationships more among the guys — it’s great. We joke the only difference is that we left Italy and arrived in France!â€
