On August 26, 1978, Frankie Valli hit Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with “Grease,” the theme song from the blockbuster movie. This hit, written by Barry Gibb, stayed at the top of the charts for two consecutive weeks. Check out Frankie Valli singing “Grease” with the Commodores on “The Midnight Special.”

  1. Amazing! What fun to see Lionel Richie and Frankie. They are such great performers, but the video makes me love the original Broadway cast even more!

  2. I saw Frankie in concert Friday night in Atlantic City.HE WAS AWESOME!!! I could not believe how good. He changed his act around from the last time I saw him.It was more like watching the Jersey Boys without the story. He hit those high notes like he was 25!!!He was in great shape .Like JLY says “train like an athlete”. The crowd went wild!!The “New” Four Seasons are very good also.I was very impressed with the show he put on! I also hope whoever lost a purse went to the usher at the door.It was crazy with people trying to get to Frankie.

  3. Isn’t Frankie in amazing shape? I saw his show a few months ago. He sounds much like when he was younger. I agree about his “new” Seasons. They even have similar choreography to the show. Plus, they’re all young.
