BREAKING NEWS: Jersey Boys Receives EIGHT Tony Nominations
May 16th, 2006The 2006 Tony Nominations have been announced and Jersey Boys has garnered EIGHT nominations:
- Best Musical
- Best Book of a Musical–Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice
- Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical–John Lloyd Young
- Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical–Christian Hoff
- Best Direction of a Musical–Des McAnuff
- Best Orchestrations–Steve Orich
- Best Scenic Design of a Musical–Klara Zieglerova
- Best Lighting Design of a Musical–Howell Binkley
The Tony Awards will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from Radio City Music Hall on the CBS television network Sunday, June 11, 2006.
