And The Winner Is…Jersey Boys Trivia Contest Results!

March 22nd, 2007

Wow! Thank you to everyone who entered the Jersey Boys Trivia Contest! We had an amazing response–102 completed the contest, and 425 started but didn’t finish the contest! Nine contestants answered all of the questions correctly! Out of those nine, five contestants predicted the JB box office grosses for the week ending 3/18/07 without going over!

May I have the envelope please? (Drum roll….)

And the winners are:
Our First Place prize goes to: Jamie Costantino, whose prediction of $1,159,620.00 was closest to the actual JB Broadway grosses (which were actually $1,160,591) for the week ending 3/18/07.

Jamie will receive two Jersey Boys Opening Night Party tickets, a special souvenir autographed by John Lloyd Young, and a Four Seasons Trivia memorabilia booklet autographed by the JB cast!

Our Second Place Prize goes to: Frank Rovello, whose prediction of : $1,158,582.49 was second closest to the actual JB grosses for the week ending 3/18/07. Frank will receive a Four Seasons Trivia booklet memorabilia autographed by the JB cast!

To see the answers to the Jersey Boys Trivia Contest, click on the Trivia Contest page–we’ve inserted the answers at the bottom.

Jersey Boys Blog would like to thank John Lloyd Young for the autographed Opening Night tickets; Audrey Rockman for donating the Four Seasons Trivia memorabilia booklets; and to the JB cast for autographing the booklets. We would also like to say thank you to JBB Fantastic Fan Brian Lim for coming up with such a great idea for the fans!

We heard from quite a few of you who said the JB Trivia Contest was a lot of fun! Would you be interested in more Jersey Boys and Four Seasons trivia contests in the future on the blog?

Again, congratulations to Jamie and Frank!

  1. Congratulations to the Jamie & Frank. Considering how low the week’s grosses turned out, I’d say FIVE people did an amazing job! I wish I knew your secret formula or…. more accurately I wish the show’s numbers had been higher like so many other weeks. (By the way… would third, fourth or fifth place wish to identify themselves?)

I would love to see a ‘scavenger hunt’ of sorts- for information available here on the Blog. Something to get us to go back over all the news of the last year and a half. That would be interesting.

  2. Congratulations! to Jaime & Frank.
You both did an amazing job figuring out what the
    weekly grosses would be.
I got all answers correct except the one which we had to predict JB weekly grosses for week 3-18. I thought for sure with the St. Patricks Day Parade being held that weekend in New York there would be more tourists in the city to catch the Jersey Boys show. So I predicted much higer grosses for that weekend.

Jaime & Frank, how did you know it was going to be lower than previous weeks? Great Job!

    All The Best,
    Damaris Dugan

  3. Congratulations to Jaime and Frank. What a great job you did to figure out the weekly total grosses. How did you fiqure the amount would go decrease, when each week I have checked the blog, the grosses have increased? I thought with the holiday they would have increased from the previous week for sure.
Well, the contest was fun and I hope to see another one in the future!

  4. By what method or secret formula did I decide that the weekly gross would be down? No method, just plain dumb luck.
