Andrew Rannells Headed to Broadway!

Andrew Rannells reports that Andrew Rannells, who has been playing Bob Gaudio in the Jersey Boys national tour, will step into the Gaudio role in the Tony-winning New York production of Jersey Boys at the August Wilson Theatre January 13, 2009.

In addition to playing Gaudio in the national tour of JB, Rannells has been seen on Broadway as Link in Hairspray. His regional credits include roles in Miss Saigon, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The 60′s Project and Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Rannells succeeds Happiness-bound Sebastian Arcelus, who will play his final performance Jan. 11, 2009.

  1. I saw Andrew in Denver tonight in the touring cast and I have to say I loved him. His voice was so pure and rich, I had chills. He deserves to be on Broadway. Bravo!!!!

  2. I am so happy for Andrew. I saw him 8 times as Bob here in Texas and he is absolutely wonderful and a joy to meet and chat with. The NY audiences are in for a real treat. Congrats to Andrew!

  5. Congratulations!!! Andrew is an amazing talent and I was lucky enough to see him perform as Bob Gaudio twice in Tampa. For those of you who have not seen him in this role, get ready for a big treat!

  7. I got to see you a few weeks ago and your voice gave me CHILLS when I heard “Cry for Me”!!! I wish I could hear it on the Jersey Boys CD!
