Are Jersey Boys and Valli Headed to Vegas?
June 16th, 2006In today’s Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “Vegas Confidential” column, columnist NORM! said he has heard that Frankie Valli is redoubling efforts to return to Las Vegas because he’s energized by the success of Jersey Boys at the Tony Awards.
Jersey Boys, the musical biography of Valli and the Four Seasons, won four Tonys, including best musical at the awards show on Sunday.
The question is: How much of a boost will the Tony buzz help Valli, who struggled at the box office here in recent years. After leaving a sure thing at The Orleans, Valli’s 15-week deal at the Flamingo Las Vegas was canceled after a few weeks. Ditto for a deal at the Luxor.
More likely, according to the columnist, Jersey Boys will end up in one of the major properties some time in 2007.
Very interesting! Just happens that I am currently preparing a show “The Vegas Jersey Boys”,that will debut on Aug.2nd at an event called the “Show Of Shows”,which is a project by Bea Folgelman, and I predict my tribute to Frankie Valli&the Four Seasons to be very entertaining. My direct experiences in Jersey as the performer with Legends In Concert,as Frankie Valli, have all been very positive and encourageing.
