Broadway-Bound Jersey Boys Cast Announcement
July 17th, 2005Des McAnuff’s hit musical from La Jolla Playhouse, Jersey Boys, which chronicles the rags to riches to rags story of blue collar boys-turned-pop sensations Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons, has announced the cast for the upcoming Broadway debut.
The musical, which will begin previews on October 3, will star John Lloyd Young in his Broadway debut as Frankie Valli. Young will join original La Jolla stars Christian Hoff (Tommy DeVito), Daniel Reichard (Bob Gaudio), and J. Robert Spencer (Nick Massi).
La Jolla Playhouse’s artistic director Des McAnuff staged the debut of the musical which began Oct. 5, 2004 and extended three times through Jan. 16, 2005 at his California company’s Mandell Weiss Theatre.
