Check Out Preview of Aaron De Jesus Interview in Dayton Daily News!
October 20th, 2016With JB national tour in Dayton this week, there’s a terrific feature story with Aaron De Jesus! Check out a preview below:
The role of Frankie Valli will be portrayed by Aaron De Jesus, a seasoned actor who says he’s young enough to play Valli at the age of 16 and old enough to be believable as a more mature Valli.
Although he wasn’t around when The Four Seasons was at the height of its popularity, De Jesus says anyone who has grown up in America in the past 50 years knows their music. In the past six months, for example, he says he recognized the Frankie Valli song, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” in an ice cream commercial.
He believes the group’s success can be attributed to Valli’s unique voice and Gautio’s songwriting. “We get every age group at the show,” he adds. “One of the other cast members says he loves to look out in the audience and see three generations —the oldest is nostalgic about the songs; those parents shared that love with their children and the third generation still recognizes the songs from the movies and commercials. Their stuff is timeless and has lasted. “

His favorite song in the play is “Working My Way Back to You,” a song made popular by The Four Seasons in 1966 and The Spinners in 1979. “It comes at a time when Frankie is at the top of his game and things are going well for him,” De Jesus explains. “A lot of the music is staged as a concert performance so I get to interact with the audience and get the feeling of being a rock star!”
