  7. Hi Christian. Can’t believe I log on a few minutes late this morning to this wonderful news and see about a thousand comments echoing the same congratulatory thoughts I have. I echo Audrey’s feelings above– true character with so much done quietly.

It seems like a long time ago when you and I first connected via e-mail and our first meeting at the BC/EFA Flea Market in 2006. Since then, I’ve seen you at numerous events and at the stage door many times, always with your never-ending graciousness and humility to my friends and me.

But the moment that will always stand out for me was opening my e-mail on my birthday last winter to receive your personalized best wishes. I still can’t get over a talented actor with the biggest award on Broadway taking his precious time to make the birthday of a relative stranger so special!

I think we’re all thrilled, too, that you’ll be remaining with “Jersey Boys” for at least the near future. I look forward to many more visits at the stage door. Bravo, Christian!

  11. Christian, this award may not be the flashiest award you’ll ever receive, but it seems fitting for a man of integrity, compassion and philanthropy like you. Your kindness towards others, putting awkward admirers at ease, your quiet behind the scenes philanthropic work and the time you take to share your talent is a true gift, and it is nice to know that such hard work is acknowledged. Congratulations! Put that award next to your Tony and similar awards…but leave space for others to follow!
