The JERSEY BOYS first national tour concludes in San Francisco this evening after 2,598 performances over the past six-and-a-half years!

Here are some facts about this phenomenal company from the official JERSEY BOYS Facebook page:

  • They performed in 72 cities (15 of them repeats), traveled 63,700 miles & broke 58 Box Office records.
  • In this time, there have been 9 Frankies, 5 Tommys, 4 Nicks & 7 Bobs. Six people stayed with it for the entire run. Fifteen have moved from this company to Broadway.
  • There have been seven marriages and two babies born during the tour.
  • There are currently six other productions around the world, including the 2nd National , which is currently booked through 2015 with no end in sight.

These facts and figures are absolutely outstanding, as was each and every cast member and musician who brought the house down all over the USA (and Canada)!

As the cast, musicians, and crew end their spectacular run and they chase the music one last time, before trying to get home, we’d like to congratulate everyone who has been with the JERSEY BOYS first national tour! We loved being on the ride with you all these years, seeing your amazing talents on the stage in so many cities, and would like to thank you for the opportunity for the JBB EXCLUSIVE Interviews and your support!

And, a special thank you to Production Stage Manager extraordinaire, Larry Baker, for keeping JB Blog in the loop with all of the tour’s events, for his support, and the royal treatment during our JBB EXCLUSIVE Interviews!

Break a leg to everyone tonight and all the best in your future endeavors!

bye bye JB1stnatltour

  1. I have seen the First National Tour several times in several cities as well as Jersey Boys in London, Toronto, Vegas, and on Broadway many, many times. It gives me so much satisfaction to see that so many of our “Jersey Boys” have moved on and enabled us to see them in other projects and venues. We can see The Midtown Men, Under the Streetlamp, and the Doo-Wop Project performing throughout the country. So many of our “Boys” have appeared in other Broadway shows and in musical theatre and plays throughout the country. We can turn on TV and see our favorites in hit series several times a week. Indeed, First National Tour, “thanks for the memories”, but there are so many more to come!!
