Erich Bergen Reflects on JB & Bob Gaudio

June 2nd, 2007

In The Press Enterprise, Eric Auerbach chats with Erich Bergen, who stars as Bob Gaudio in the national tour of Jersey Boys. Bergen talks about the first time he saw JB on Broadway and what it’s like to play Gaudio, the musical genius who wrote most of the chart-topping hits for the Four Seasons. Auerbach also chats with co-writer Rick Elice about the the Tony-nominated book.

Here’s a brief preview of Bergen’s reflections:
I was skeptical before the show, but I took my father because I knew he would know all of the Four Seasons’ songs. I walked away saying, ‘This show is going to win the Tony Award.’

  1. Good for Erich with an h to get an interview. So far, it’s been Christopher and Deven to get interviewed in the papers and on ET.

  2. Great to see all National Tour “Jersey Boys” receive their due. He’s an excellent actor, character in a commercial (Pizza Hut Delivery Man) and all around talented person! Just wondering if he and Jackie Seiden (1st Tour Cast Mary Delgado) are still together as a couple. Perfect match, and I hope they’re happy touring and starting on that journey around the US. Can’t go wrong with that!

Congratulations to Erich and the rest of the 1st National Tour!
