Five Fabulous Frankies at the Tonys!

  1. Know everybody here is as proud of our Boys (and Girls) as could be. And thanks to Michael David for making it happen, for Sergio and Kelly who staged and rehearsed it, for Ron Melrose and Bob Gaudio who handled the music production, and CBS who invited us, once again, to perform. A real family affair, for the musical about family. I think that’s why they keep having us back. Anyhow, I watched last night thinking about you guys as much as anything, so, once more with feeling: Thank you! Without you being there for us, we couldn’t be there for you.

  2. Words can not express how I felt seeing the FIVE FRANKIES and the cast on that stage again…nothing short of amazing. As always! Thank you to all involved in making that happen. And we will see Rick Elice up on that stage next with The Addams Family.Because he is amazing as well.

  6. It was absolutely FANTASTIC to see the various Frankies on stage at the Tonys last night! That was a great performance! Each Frankie sounded wonderful.

I’m so happy that Jersey Boys was once again asked to perform at the awards! What great recognition for such a long-lasting, memorable show!

The only thing that would’ve made it 100% more perfect for me is if JLY was up there as well, being the original Broadway FV. But, that’s okay…all his successors deserve their kudos.

  9. What a great segment! These Boys DELIVERED, and then some. Great to see the NY cast perform as well.

  10. Last night for a minute, my eyes played a trick on me. Harry and I were in the mezzanine at Radio City, and as Dominic completed his part and the curtain lifted, I screamed to Harry, “OMG, it’s JLY!” Of course, it was Jarrod, but from that distance, they looked so alike!

The real treat of the evening was running into the real Frankie in the lobby as we were leaving. I said hello, and got a glimmer of recognition, and a handshake from Frankie. I don’t think Frankie remembered where or when, but he knew he’d seen the face before.

Very happy that Elice and Brickman’s “The Addams Family” got a very nice plug on the Radio City screen during one of the commercial breaks.

  12. I loved the 5 “Frankies’.
Jarrod is very good! He is the only one in my opinon that can take over for JLY.
I love Frankies idea, put JLY into each JB show as a guest,to play “Frankie”

  13. I thought it was such a clever segment. Kudos to whoever thought of it. Everyone did great and it was nice to hear the Frankies I have not seen yet, albeit for a brief time. Job well done to the whole Jersey Boys family.

  14. All the guys did great! It was also so nice seeing the Broadway cast in the background… especially Matthew Scott. Howard, I am so happy for you to be a part of such an exciting evening.

  15. The other guys couldn’t really show what they had on those short subdued lines. If Dominic did I love you baby he would have brought the house down he is incredible.

  17. The idea of five Frankies was great. Each guy is wonderful, but Jarrod stands out. He is so good, I just keep on going back to see the show time and again.

  18. I couldn’t agree more, Stan. They’re all very good, but Jarrod is incredible. Chicago misses you, Jarrod!!

  19. They were all great. But four guys singing from beyond the stage and then the curtain rises, that was the best!

  20. Howard,

Please e-mail me with all the details of the Tony’s. Obviously, you should have been on the red carpet – you are a star! IE

  21. It was fun to see all the different Frankies…and nice to see Sarah and Heather, and Matt Scott, too. I think I enjoyed it because it gave me a chance to see the various personalities represented all over the country and it brought back memories of the OBC as well. I thank those involved in making this happen. The segment was also placed in a good time slot…right before the big awards of the evening. Interesting article on Playbill.com said this was the highest rated Tony show in three years. Last biggest audience was 2006…when Jersey Boys stole the show, stole our hearts, JLY and Christian stole the limelight with their touching speeches and JB was awarded the Tony for the best Musical:)

  22. I had the greatest day of my life watching this fabulous performance in Atlanta, with front row seats, a month ago! Joseph Leo Bwarie is a charm! Handsome, talented, as good as they come.. Kudos to the rest of the cast as well. As excitement flows through the audience, so do the memories. What a wonderful sight to see men and woman of all ages rocking and swaying in their seats or sharing a look of “I remember when”. I walked away with a greater appreciation of Mr. Valli and had purchased the CD which I have literaly worn out.. I do hope the show will be back to Atlanta ! Excellent!I would have loved to have seen the 5 Valli’s .. I thought it was a brilliant idea and a wonderful tribute to Mr.Valli
