Five Smash Years on Broadway–Jersey Boys Anniversary Calendar of Events!

Jersey Boys LogoOn November 6, 2010, JERSEY BOYS Broadway will be celebrating FIVE smash years on Broadway and many exciting events will be taking place over four fabulous days!

November, 2010 (Oh, What A Celebration!)

Friday, November 5 – Saturday, November 6, 2010–Empire State Building Lighting: The Empire State Building will light its tower to honor the 5th Anniversary of the Broadway hit musical Jersey Boys. The Empire State Building will celebrate Jersey Boys by shining the tower in white, red, and yellow (from bottom to top as seen from the street). Jersey Boys Cast members will be on hand for a special lighting ceremony on Friday, November 5th. The lighting will remain on in honor of the show until 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. November 6th marks the 5th Anniversary of Jersey Boys. Soaring 1,454 feet above Midtown Manhattan, the Empire State building is the “World’s Most Famous Office Building.” and celebrates many cultures and causes in the world community with their iconic lightings.

Saturday, November 6–2:00 PM & 8:00 PM–5th Anniversary: Jersey Boys celebrates 5 years on Broadway on Saturday, November 6, 2010 with performances at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

Saturday, November 6–4:30 PM-6:30 PM-Fan Reception: Event closed due to overwhelming response.

Sunday, November 7: 1:00 PM-Street Sign Ceremony: A section of 52nd Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue will be renamed “JERSEY BOYS WALK”. Original Four Seasons Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio, along with members of the creative team, including co-authors Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, and the current cast of Jersey Boys will participate in this momentous occasion.

Sunday, November 7–5:30 PM–Mayoral Proclamation: Immediately following the matinee performance on Sunday, November 7, New York City Commissioner Katherine Oliver will present a Mayoral Proclamation in honor of Jersey Boys for its remarkable achievement in celebrating 5 years on Broadway, for the joy it has given over 2.5 million audience members, and the extraordinary economic impact the hit musical has had on New York City.

Monday, November 8–Sardi’s Caricatures: Sardi’s Restaurant will honor Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio,Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice with caricatures that will be unveiled on Monday, November 8 in a PRIVATE reception. By invitation only.

Monday, November 8, 2010 at 7PM–Paley Center: Paley Center The Crowd Goes Wild: Five Years of Jersey Boys: This November, Jersey Boys will be celebrating its fifth year on Broadway. On Monday, November 8th at 7PM, The Paley Center for Media is delighted to recognize this achievement with a special evening featuring original Four Seasons members Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio, and Jersey Boys coauthors Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, who will discuss the legacy of the band and the production of the Broadway show, and share archival performance clips with the audience. Tickets for the main auditorium are currently sold out, but a select number of additional seats in a closed circuit viewing room (with the panel broadcast on screen), are available for $5.   3. very cool . I am enjoying each and every honor they receive and making sure all those who had something to say in a negative fashion years ago know about how this has turned into a huge hit that will live on for many more years. And a certain Mr. Valli has not been doing too bad out there with the 4 Seasons as well.
    Congrats to all involved with. I can not wait for the movie to come out now.
