#FlashbackFriday: The Four Seasons Brunswick Bowling Jingle, Circa Early 1960s! @frankievalli

February 5th, 2016

Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda (@Lin_Manuel)tweeted this last night: We’re bowling against Jersey Boys tonight, & we gonna lose. Their Frankie Valli (Dominic Scaglione, Jr.) bowled a FAFILLION last time. 100 TURKEYS. #BigGirlsDontCry

In honor of the bowling talents of Scags, we thought we’d honor him and The Four Seasons’ bowling connections with the Brunswick Bowling jingle that they did back in the early ’60s!

Does anyone know any details about this jingle?

  1. Someone gave me a 1930 era Brunswick Radio thinking it was a valuable antique. I asked someone if he knew anyone who could restore it. I told him it was a Brunswick and he asked if I meant a Pinsetter! I told him no, but Chicago based Brunswick was the company that not only made Bowling Equipment, but Radios, Phonographs, and Records on the Brunswick label. You may remember that there used to be a bunch of Chicago based Record labels, including the label of the first successful singles and albums of the Four Seasons, on Vee Jay.
