Four Seasons Greetings!

December 22nd, 2009

The 4 Seasons' Christmas Album

Happy Holidays! Listening to The 4 Seasons’ Christmas Album is one of our favorite holiday traditions!

Now, for some chart trivia: Not just ONE, but TWO songs from this album hit Billboard’s Top Pop Singles Chart. In 1962, “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” reached #23 on the chart and “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” hit #19 on the chart in 1964!

It wouldn’t be Christmas around here if we didn’t play clips from the greatest holiday album in our collection!

  3. This album was way ahead of its time when you listen this on cd. It is timeless and you hear craftsman at work considering this was recorded in 1962, and released on VJ.

    THE 4 SEASONS GREETINGS
featuring the “SOUND” of Frankie Valli

What could be more in keeping with the joyous Christmas season than the exciting, happily spirited “sound”of THE 4 SEASONS?
In this album, the boys add their own distinctive styling to as many of your Yuletide favorites, as could possibly be grooved onto one disc.
All involved in the production of this album agreed..
the best way to send out “THE 4 SEASONS GREETINGS”…
was by devoting one entire side to the traditionally loved Christmas carols, in brand new beautifully arranged medleys….which might be better called
“A Christmas Carol Concert by The 4 Seasons.”
The other side is aglow with such popular perennial treasures as “WHITE CHRISTMAS”, “THE CHRISTMAS SONG,” “I SAW MOMMY KISSING SANTA CLAUS,”
“SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN,” etc.–and a brand new
song,”CHRISTMAS TEARS,” which is destined to become a
standard among the great Christmas songs…
