December 16th, 2006CBS5.com in San Francisco has posted an insightful interview with pop music icon Frankie Valli. Valli talks about his childhood in the Newark, New Jersey projects; his beginnings as a young singer; his amazing falsetto; the success of Jersey Boys; and so much more.
So, what is a Jersey Boy, you ask? It all goes back to Valli’s New Jersey roots as a child. Valli said,
A Jersey Boy is a guy who grew up the way I did. The streets were your playground. Walk out of the house there were 400 kids to play ball with, to hide behind a building and smoke cigarettes with — all of those things.
