Who knew there was a JERSEY BOYS’ connection to the 1968 science fiction film starring Jane Fonda, “Barbarella”?

In a 1968 New York Times feature on Bob Crewe’s gorgeous triplex on Fifth Avenue overlooking Central Park, the reporter noted that Mr. Crewe had collaborated with Charles Fox on the soundtrack of the Roger Vadim film “Barbarella,” which included a track with Crewe’s vocals, “An Angel Is Love”!

  1. Susie – Nice find!

    More Crewe trivia-
He used a band he was producing for his Dynovoice label called “The Glitterhouse” to provide some of the songs for the “Barbarella” soundtrack.

Crewe also had another group in his stable called The Good Earth, one of whose members was William “Oliver” Swofford, who later had success, with “Good Morning, Starshine” and “Jean” under the name “Oliver.” The Good Earth trio recorded a version of the Seasons’“Goodbye, Girl.”
