  2. Mark is right. The song was written for Frankie and he released the hit version in 1967 on the Philips label. Andy Williams did lots of cover releases, so why not release a cover of one of the greatest songs ever!

  3. You need to see “JERSEY BOYS” to understand what Frankie and Bob went through to get CTMEOY released by the record company and played on the air.

  4. Frankie’s original version was released in April of 1967. It went to #2 on BillBoard and #1 on Cash Box back in the day.
    Andy Williams was released on the UK Singles chart the next year, 1968 and his version went to #5 on the UK Charts…
