Got Dinner Plans TONIGHT? JLY Will Be Dining At Tony’s DiNapoli!!

November 17th, 2007

Have you checked out John Lloyd Young’s blog today? He notes that in light of this strike, which could mean he won’t have his “final performance,” of JERSEY BOYS on November 21st, he wanted to make it clear that, if that’s the case, he had a final performance, on November 9th, and it was wonderful. JLY also hopes that we can all come together and wish the two disputing parties a swift resolution, through hia final scheduled performance on November 21st and beyond, if necessary.

Have you guys made dinner plans for tonight??? JLY states that tonight, instead of being onstage at JERSEY BOYS, he’ll be at Tony’s DiNapoli for dinner. Tony’s is a major supporter of Broadway, and he’s going to do his part to support them at this difficult time. John Lloyd hopes to see you there tonight! 1. Why do I have a feeling that a bunch of JB fans in and around NYC are now trying to make reservations for tonight?

  2. Thank you John Lloyd for once again remembering what is truly important in all of this. This strike does touch so many other entities beyond the stagehands and producers.
Tony’s is just one of the many wonderful restaurants in the theater district, and I hope for a quick resolution to the strike so it can get back to being business as usual for them. I hope all you locals take JL’s advice.

  3. I hope they set aside a table of 12! ;)

Too bad if this is the case. A whimper rather than a bang is obviously anticlimactic, and after all this, JLY deserves better — though I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes a Rapp/Pascal/Salonga-like appearance in the future.
