4. What a great surprise, Susie and Dale; you guys and all my wonderful Jersey Boys friends have made these 50-60 years the best ever with memories I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you so much.

   All these pictures bring back such wonderful memories…but just so everyone knows, the camera always adds a few hundred pounds!!

9. The phenomenon of the Jersey Boys fan family is second only to the juggernaut-like success of the show itself. And the patriarch of that family is Howard. I call him the “networking network king,” because with all his travels, work-related and otherwise, he has managed to meet and bring together, face-to-face, so many of us fans who otherwise might not know each other. Howard “reached out” to me with an email, late 2007 or early 2008, inviting me to join him and Christy and Steve Holden (of the Jersey Boys podcast) for dinner when he was out here in SoCal, tho none of us had ever met. That was my entree into the world of JB fandom which has led to many fan get-togethers, small and large, around the country. Howard, thanks for bringing me into the fold where I have met so many like-passioned folks. This family wouldn’t exist as it does without you!

   Happy birthday, pal!

14. Happy Birthday, Howard,

    Being 60 is really great, especially when you know that your are in the last year of the decade of your fifties. So Next Year, February 5, 2012, you will officially enter the decade of your 60′s. It is a wonderful time of life. Buz and I both will attest to that.

    You are the patriarch of the Jersey Boys family and I would go further to say that much of what has tranpsired among the family over the last five years couldn’t and wouldn’t have happened, WITHOUT YOU.
