  2. Howard,

    Happy Birthday! (A bit late…)

I have a story for you, and for all the Jersey Boys fans…

On Saturday, I donated a time/work management seminar to the To Celebrate Life foundation (www.ToCelebrateLife.com) in Marin County, CA.

On the break, a participant approached me to say, “Hi, I made a special trip to Marin for this seminar, but I have news. I will be leaving at noon to go back to The City [San Francisco] to see…The Jersey Boys!”

What an amazing confluence of interests here…

Howard, thank you for introducing me to this blog, these people, and this event. I’m working on getting to an LA or SF premiere…before, of course, seeing it live in NY!

You inspire many of us with enthusiasm, fascinating facts, networking as well as eloquent recounting of important moments and events. Not to repeat myself, but…you are a mensch.

  13. I am absolutely overwhelmed that Susie, our Blogmaster, and all of you above, thought enough of me to take your precious time to post and make this the best birthday ever. Special thanks, too, to Christian Hoff and John Lloyd Young, for their very heartfelt birthday e-mails. You’ve all made me feel so loved; thank you.

  14. Feliz Cumpleaños Howard!

Well, it is fashionable to be late in Spain–but not this late to wish you a Happy Birthday from Madrid. I wish you many more wonderful B-days and hope that this year is as good to you as you are to others (which translates into an excellent year for you)!!

Personally, I second the motion of a Jersey Boys European Tour–Frankfurt/Madrid connection.

    Best regards, Michael

  15. Howard,
A super belated “Happy Birthday” to you my dear friend. Until today, I didn’t know. Truly, I thought we discussed skipping b-days henceforth?
The best of everything should come your way in all the challenges that life gives you. Sorry I missed your birthday & hope you had a great day.

See you soon at COSI & we’ll celebrate @ lunch.

    Best Wishes,
    Sandra

  16. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY HOWARD, IT WAS A PLEASURE MEETING YOU AND TALKING ABOUT THE REAL TOMMY DEVITO AND CHRISTIAN HOFF THE ACTOR OF THE TONY WINNING SMASH. THE BEST TO YOU , JIM PETRECCA

  17. Jim, what a pleasant surprise to read your comment; thank you. Your collectables store in Union, NJ (just blocks away from the site of the Four Seasons bowling alley) is unbelievable….not only baseball and music memorabilia, but so, so many articles, photos, programs, and autographs of the 4 Seasons dating way, way back, and of the Jersey Boys since La Jolla. You’ll be a source for many years to come to complete a lot of 4 Seasons and Jersey Boys collections.

As you said, between the substantial traffic in your store, you and I did get pretty deep into dicsussing Tommy and Christian. We agreed that both guys take a sincere interest in people and have given many people a hand up in their lives. Both also value family tremendously–Christian just adores his kids and Tommy his grandkids. Thanks again, Jim.
