J. Robert Spencer Nominated for Tony Award!

Nominations for the American Theatre Wing’s 63rd Annual Tony Awards were announced today!

In the category of Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical, J. Robert Spencer has been nominated for his portrayal as “Dan” in Next to Normal! This musical was nominated for a total of 11 awards, including Best Musical!

Congratulations to Bobby on this tremendous achievement!

  1. Congratulations Bobby! We all knew when we saw you, it was a winner. Your performance was amazing! Jersey Boys fans…go out and see Next to Normal…it is wonderful! You will also find a very gracious cast at the stage door. Congratulations to everyone associated with this great production! Good Luck at the Tony Awards!

  3. Reading Bobby’s blog, he credits persistence, patience, and prayer. Yeah, we were all praying, but it’s his TALENT that did it.

    Bobby is now a “TONY AWARD NOMINEE”, which no one can ever take from him. Congratulations to a great talent and a great human being.
