Jarrod Spector Among Stars in ‘Standing Ovations V’ on November 1st!

September 29th, 2009

Standing OBroadwayWorld.com is proud to announce the ‘Starting Line-up’ for STANDING OVATIONS V at Town Hall, right in the heart of Broadway on Sunday night, November 1, at 7:30 PM. As always, this special evening’s proceeds will go to Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. Among the stars in this upcoming fabulous event is JERSEY BOYS Broadway’s Frankie Valli–JARROD SPECTOR!

In addition to Jarrod Spector, currently scheduled to appear (and subject to change) are – in alphabetical order: Cortes Alexander, Joey Arias, Michael Arden, Gary Beach, Justin Bond, Laura Bell Bundy, Liz Callaway, Mario Cantone, John Cudia, Melissa Errico, Ellen Greene, Melora Hardin, Gregory Jbara, Robert Marien, Will & Anthony Nunziata, Rosie O’Donnell, Nicholas Rodriguez, and Jennifer Hallie Rosen. The evening will be hosted by Broadway Beat’s very popular host and theatre know-it-all, Richie Ridge.

The theme that will guide the evening has the title of “The Bronx Is Up And The Battery’s Down”, which explains the eclectic mix of performers and what you can expect to see on the stage.

It’s also the kind of assignment that will require two musical directors and the move to midtown.

The site’s President and CEO, Rob Diamond, along with BroadwayWorld.com’s Creative Director, Eddie Varley, decided that it was time to come uptown from Joe’s Pub, due to the overwhelming demand for seats in the past and to satisfy the site’s large fan base.

Additional stars and featured performers will be announced shortly and, as is the tradition with BroadwayWorld.com’s Standing Ovation Concert Series, you can expect plenty of surprises and last minute ‘entries’ to shake up what is already shaping up to be an exciting show.
