JB Broadway’s Bob Gaudio–Ryan Jesse: Theater Is In His Blood!
January 17th, 2011Trish Neimann has a great interview with Ryan Jesse, Broadway’s Bob Gaudio. Here’s a preview:
Jesse, 25, recently made his Broadway debut in the role of Bob Gaudio in “Jersey Boys,” the award-winning musical.
Jesse says he feels blessed to be performing on Broadway only three years after completing his musical theater degree from the University of Northern Colorado.
“It’s great and it’s amazing to be where I never thought possible,” Jesse said. “To be at a place in my life where my childhood dreams are realized is incredible, and it’s an honor to get to do this every night.”
Born into a theatrical Gilbert family, Jesse always knew he wanted to be a performer. He spent a happy childhood observing his theater-professor parents put on shows at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
“It’s in my blood,” Jesse said. “My parents built the college’s Performing Arts program from the ground up, so from the age of 4, I’d sit in the back during rehearsals doing my homework. If they needed extras for a church scene or something, I would stand onstage.”
