JB Gets Toes Tappin’ at Curran Theatre

Donald Munro of The Fresno Bee asked if all the hoopla about Jersey Boys is worth it?

If you grew up with Valli and The Four Seasons and have a strong affinity for the music, quite possibly. Skillfully staged, briskly acted and reasonably well sung, Jersey Boys is more than just a standard-issue jukebox musical. Book writers Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice strive hard to find a compelling narrative in this story of a group of New Jersey toughs…But the music, including such tunes as “Sherry” and “Walk Like a Man,” is so skillfully interwoven with the story that the show has a big impact.
