Jersey Boys’ Daniel Reichard Among Featured Performers in Benefit Gala

Broadwayworld.com’s News Desk reports that Daniel Reichard of Jersey Boys, Victoria Clark of The Light in the Piazza, Sweeney Todd’s Alexander Gemignani, and Swing’s Michael Gruber will star on March 27th in the American Musicals Project’s annual benefit concert, “Applause for the Golden Boy: The Music of Charles Strouse.” The evening showcases Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, Applause, and other works by Charles Strouse, who will make a special appearance.

The benefit takes place at the New York Historical Society (170 Central Park West, New York, NY) on Monday, March 27, 2006. The proceeds will go to The American Musicals Project, a teacher-training program and Social Studies/English Language Arts curriculum that expose 7th and 8th graders in over 400 schools American musical theatre.

Tickets for the Gala Benefit, including a champagne reception, are $500 for select seating, $250 for priority seating and $75 for regular seating. For reservations or information, call 212-873-3400 x305.
