JERSEY BOYS Celebrates Five Years on Broadway by Supporting VH1 Save the Music!

Jersey Boys LogoNews from JERSEY BOYS!: JERSEY BOYS, the Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning international hit musical, will celebrate five record-breaking years on Broadway with a month-long benefit in support of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation by donating one dollar from every ticket sold for every performance in the month of October. Through this contribution, JERSEY BOYS hopes to maximize the Foundation’s effort to ensure that no child be deprived of the opportunity to participate in instrumental music education programs. The cast and crew of JERSEY BOYS aims to raise enough to fund one of New York Public School’s music education programs for a full year.

JERSEY BOYS, written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, began preview performances on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 and officially opened on Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Broadway’s August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street).
