Jersey Boys Heads To Vegas In Early 2008!

May 1st, 2007

PR Newswire reports that the much-anticipated opening of The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas just got bigger with the addition of the Tony-Award winning smash hit musical, Jersey Boys. The perennially sold-out show based on the life story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons has taken Broadway by storm and now has set its sights on Las Vegas. Mark your calendars! Jersey Boys is scheduled to open on the Strip in early 2008!

When asked about the Broadway megahit heading to the Strip, Rob Goldstein, president of The Venetian and the Palazzo stated,

With advance ticket sales over $30 million on Broadway we are confident that visitors from all over the world will come to see what is currently the hottest ticket on Broadway. Jersey Boys appeals to a wide range of audiences, beyond the traditional theatergoer. The spectacular musical is the type of entertainment that has become the hallmark of The Venetian: award-winning, great quality and distinctive. We expect The Palazzo, together with The Venetian, to continue to be the preeminent entertainment destination in Las Vegas.

The Broadway creative team, including director Des McAnuff, choreographer Sergio Trujillo, authors Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, and The Four Seasons, will be directly involved in the Las Vegas production of Jersey Boys. Co-CEO Scott Zeiger of BASE Entertainment said,

BASE Entertainment and our producing partners Michael David and The Dodgers are extremely excited to be bringing this smash hit to, what we expect will be, the most luxurious resort in Las Vegas. The state-of-the-art theater housing this production will serve as a perfect setting for this extraordinary show.

  1. Finally! Las Vegas gets one of the most popular Broadway and touring plays ever! Since I enjoy visiting Vegas for leisure, it will be nice to see the Jersey Boys again, but this time on the strip in the entertainment capital of the World. I will be sure to purchase my tickets once they are available! It’s only fitting since that’s where Tommy DiVito was sent to “chill” until his debt was paid. Also wondering which national tour group will perform there, or if they will cast a new permanent Jersey Boys group for that venue. Since I’ve visited the Venetian, I’m sure the new hotel will be just as luxurious and the theatre will surely blow anyone’s mind.

  3. This is fantastic. The Venetian is our favorite hotel in Vegas. Jersey Boys at the Venetian will be spectacular. Of course, Jersey boys in any venue is spectacular but as my friend Audrey says, “JB will be there to stay.”

  5. I COULDN’T BE HAPPIER!! I went to New York this past December for my birthday in hopes to be able to see Jersey Boys. The tickets were sold out so far in advance we missed out. Now since they are coming to my home town I can save from having to go back to New York to see them and HOPEFULLY get tickets here! Can’t wait!!
