Jersey Boys Is a Triumph in Rochester!

Marcia Morphy of the Democrat and Chronicle states that it was literally impossible to take our eyes off JERSEY BOYS during the sensational, fever-pitched performance at the Auditorium Theatre!

Jersey Boys is a triumph — a streamlined, glossy show with pitch-perfect, seemingly effortless performances by the entire cast. The book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice attempts to give weight to all four Seasons: There’s Joseph Leo Bwarie, who would make Valli feel proud with his “cry-yi-yi” falsetto voice; engaging Josh Franklin, who is a mirror image of the group’s famous songwriter Bob Gaudio; Steve Gouveia, who brings a misunderstood, sincere naïveté to his role as bass vocalist Nick Massi, the self-described Ringo; and tough guy Erik Bates, who nearly steals the show with his swaggering Tony Soprano-like performance as minor-league hood Tommy DeVito.

  1. WOW, WOW, WOW
Six of us went last night to see the show and are already trying to get tickets to go again. The singing was fantastic as well as the learning the story line about the group. I had seen the orginal group many many years ago in Rochester and this group brought back all those wonderful memories. Great Job to all of the cast!!!!!!

  3. Beyond my greatest expectations!! Eight of us saw the show on February 28, 2009, and are still humming to each and every song. I saw the group in Rochester at the Dome Arena years ago and the play brought back all the great memories. Thank you and BRAVO!!
