Jersey Boys Looks Like a Safe Bet for Paris Hotel & Casino

September 12th, 2011

Las Vegas Review-Journal entertainment reporter Mike Weatherford talks about the 10-year “tragicomic” history of failure for the 1,200-seat theatre in the Paris Hotel & Casino. Over the past decade, a number of shows have come & gone including “We Will Rock You,” “The Producers,” and most recently veteran entertainer Barry Manilow, who only plays under 80 shows a year.

According to Weatherford: Those close to the deal say, Paris gives the keys away to “Jersey Boys,” making the Broadway smash an offer to leave the Palazzo no one could refuse. You might wonder if the Frankie Valli musical already spent its most exciting years on the Strip, and whether interest will fade.

But what’s there to lose, really? You can’t blame Paris for wanting a safe, proven hit after effectively being punished for original thinking.

So, what do you think about JERSEY BOYS Las Vegas’ upcoming move to the Paris Hotel & Casino?
