Jersey Boys’ National Tour Scheduled for L.A.!

August 29th, 2006

Variety.com’s Gordon Cox reports that the national tour of Jersey Boys will play from May through July at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. This is the second announced stop on the Jersey tour, which kicks off in San Francisco in December.

Jersey Boys replaces the Berry Gordy Motown tuner Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, which is indefinitely delayed due to copyright issues.

Since it opened on Broadway in November, Jersey, a bio-tuner about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, has become one of Broadway’s top sellers, and it looks likely to find similar success on the road. The show took home four Tonys in June, including the trophy for Best Musical.
