JERSEY BOYS is rocking audiences on its return to PPAC! In fact, reporter Channing Gray states that this version “is pure gold, better than ever.” Here’s a sneak peek of the review:

Aaron De Jesus is a knockout as Frankie Valli. He’s got the looks, the presence and that laser-like falsetto that made hit after hit sparkle. Sometimes he’d rock, and then break your heart with a tender ballad like “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”

When he finished singing that iconic tune, De Jesus put his hand to his heart and let us all know this was his gift to an audience who couldn’t get enough of him.

The thing about “Jersey Boys” is, it manages to mix enduring rock with a compelling story that is not always pretty. There are brushes with the law, mob ties and marital train wrecks, all spiraling out of control as the group tries to keep it together.

  1. I’ve experienced about 7 Frankies including the original cast on Broadway.

I was at this opening show in Providence and I must say that Aaron De Jesus was the best Frankie that I’ve ever seen. He just nailed it!

    The review is spot on!!!
