JERSEY BOYS national tour arrived in Birmingham earlier this week and is rocking audiences through tomorrow. Check out a snapshot of the review in AL.com:
Mary Coloruso, AL.com: The national tour of “Jersey Boys” arrived in Birmingham on Tuesday night, as part of the Broadway in Birmingham series. The fast-moving show takes viewers through the career path of falsetto phenom Valli and his three harmonizing colleagues: guitarist Tommy DeVito, songwriter-keyboard player Bob Gaudio and bassist Nick Massi.
In some ways, “Jersey Boys” belongs to DeVito, the tough-guy performer who recognizes Valli’s raw talent and gives the kid his first break. It sets the entire tale into motion, and their relationship, rocky yet loyal, is a key factor in the Four Seasons’ saga. Massi rates fourth in the “Jersey Boys” pecking order, a fact admitted by the character during one of his monologues. (“If there are four guys and you’re Ringo …”)
