Jersey Boys ROCKS in Vegas!
January 10th, 2009Michelle Alexandria of Eclipse Magazine said Jersey Boys in Vegas at the Palazzo was the best show she has seen in years! Here’s a preview to her rave review:
The show starts off with a bang, it’s some band doing a modernized version of December 1963 – in French. It was hot, my eyes popped open and I was like, ok, I’m hooked…Speaking of music, I had no idea that the Four Seasons were behind all of those hits including December 1963 (What A Night), Sherry, Walk Like A Man, My Eyes Adored You, Stay, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Working My Way Back To You, Rag Doll and others. The group killed on all of these but Travis Cloer, who played Frankie Valli, brought the house down on Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.
Alexandria gives JB in Vegas an A+!
I was just there over the New Year’s weekend and had to see the Vegas cast. After seeing Jersey Boys Broadway several times and being so spoiled by their talent, I was unsure what kind of impact Vegas would have on me. They were absolutely amazing! I loved the chemistry of the cast and also their look (age and size difference), so similar to the real Four Seasons. Erich Bergen made the biggest impression on me, however each one of them brought something very spectacular to the role…including Crewe and Gyp’s part and of course the girls. They all definitely continue to give Jersey Boys the great reputation they deserve! I can’t wait to see the National Tour when they come to Atlanta this spring. We have about 30+ friends going and finally they will understand what I have been raving about.
