Jersey Boys Second Natl Tour: Phenomenal in Philadelphia!

December 11th, 2011

The official press opening & the launch of JERSEY BOYS’ second national tour at the Forrest Thestre took place on Friday night & rave reviews are starting to pop up online! Check out sneak peaks to the first two marvelous recaps:

Jack Shaw, StagePartners.org: The production was a magnificent breathtaking adrenalin rush, an ecstatic experience I will not soon forget.

Last year’s engagement at the Forrest Theatre broke box office records, and this one is bound to break its own records if that’s possible.

JERSEY BOYS was a phenomenal production, stirring excitement and anticipation in the audience at every turn. I sat on the edge of my seat through most of the show. Each song warranted enthusiastic applause and aroused the audience more and more until beginning with The Four Seasons‘ signature song, “Sherry,” the crowd was so pumped they could barely contain themselves. They were like starstruck teenagers at a concert only this time they had to wait until the end for the standing ovation. Click HERE for the full review.

Erica Lamberg, Philadelphia Family Travel Examiner: The ensemble cast of Jersey Boys is outstanding. The headliners sing on key, re-create the nuances and dance sequence and even look the original musical group. The orchestra that provides the music for this production should also be commended.

The songs are very familiar and Brad Weinstock, who was Frankie Valli, not only can sing like nobody’s business — he didn’t miss a beat, a dance step or a line. Click HERE for the full review.
