Jersey Boys Shines, Shimmies, and Sizzles in Boston!

December 18th, 2010

Jersey Boys LogoThe JERSEY BOYS national tour production has returned to Boston at the Colonial Theatre and the critics are singing the hit show’s praises. Check out previews to the first two rave reviews:

Lauren Beckham Falcone, BostonHerald.com: And while their story would have made a so-so VH1 “Behind the Music,” it shines, shimmies and sizzles on the stage…Then it’s all aboard for a musical journey – and no one misses a beat.

Still, the foursome playing the foursome is seamless, a pitch-perfect quartet of impressive pipes and emotional story-telling.

“Jersey Boys” features sweet songs from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, but be warned, the Tony Soprano-like language might make you blush…But mostly, “Jersey Boys” will make you smile.

BostonChannel.com Mike Stand Blog: Jersey and Boston have a lot in common … proud, territorial, a wee bit arrogant and certainly not the least bit intimidated by the big cheeses in the Big Apple. Broadway may have launched “Jersey Boys”, but when it swings into the Hub, it’s ours! It’s built just like the songs it celebrates … catchy, clever, and heartfelt.
