JLY to Participate in Celebrity Bartending Night 11/19

November 15th, 2007

BroadwayWorld.com reports that John Lloyd Young will be among dozens of Broadway, TV, and film stars will tend the bar at the annual “Celebrity Bartending Night” at Frank’s (410 West 16th Street, between 9 the and 10th Avenues) on Monday November 19 from 7PM-11PM.

All bartenders’ tips will go to Stockings With Care and be used to buy holiday gifts for children whose families either live in homeless shelters or are in jeopardy of becoming homeless and cannot afford to celebrate their holiday. Patrons are asked to make a donation at the door ($20 suggested donation). A silent auction of Broadway show tickets, memorabilia, sports tickets, spa and restaurant gift certificates, and couture items will take place to raise additional funds. Through Stockings with Care, each child found the gift they had wished for and each parent shared their joy. For more information, please visit www.stockingswithcare.org

  3. John makes the best of everthing! He turned a strike(where he isn’t performing )into a way he can donate his free time to help out needy kids for Christmas. He will really be missed on Broadway not just by us fans! We truly do love you! (The people that saw last friday nights show are the ones that show JLY’S last show , if this strike keeps up.)

  4. Anyone attending with a video camera? It would be cool to see if John Lloyd has some hidden “Cocktail” type acrobatic moves to go with his bartending skills…..

He’s a class act and I always love the way he participates in every charitible benefit even though his schedule (not withstanding the strike) is downright demanding!

When he sadly leaves Jersey Boys, he wont be far from his fans….. We’ll enjoy his company at the concerts and charitible events he loves to help others with…..
