  3. Thanks for the great interview. JLY all of your fans are glad you followed your heart and pursued acting/singing instead of becoming an accountant or attorney. Your fans will never forget you and look forward to your future endeavors.

  5. I never get up early in the morning – definitely not at 6:00. Buz had to go out of town today and while I was saying good-bye to him, I thought I should check the blog. After all, my daily routine is wake up, check the blog and forum, shower, etc.

So I did hear the podcast early and what a great interview – 110% JLY.
Happy to hear his voice and it was a great preview of what’s coming up on February 23. Miss him, for sure. IE

  10. It is late at night, everyone is asleep and I listened to this podcast. John was wonderful, funny and honest and I love all of the credit that he gave to his fans. That is what is so endearing about him. Thank you for sharing that with all of us out here. I know that I will have sweet dreams with Jersey Boys songs dancing in my head.

  11. So so so wonderful to hear John Lloyd share some more of his wonderful insights on life and glad to hear he’s still flattered by us fans and not thinking we’re all nuts yet :-)

I rushed home today to hear this posdcast since the hospital powers-that-be have blocked all access to anything with sound online and I was *itching* to listen to this! So glad I did.

Can’t wait to see you John Lloyd in many many many venues for many many many years to come!
    Much love your way,
    Lucy

  12. I just listened to the Podcast, and John moved me to tears several times, particularly when speaking of his Tony acceptance. Interesting to learn that he was concerned about leaving out the part re his dad’s e-mail talking about living vicariously through John, but I think the speech was so very powerful and moving just as John gave it.

Was so touched by John’s comments about fans at the stage door. So often, we wonder if we’re imposing on the actors, or what their inner feelings will be if they see us frequently (“O, him/her again!! Another picture–how many does he/she need??”). John’s welcoming those “familiar faces” and his even looking forward to his stage door reception was so refreshing to hear.

He also points out the real friendships that have blossomed from the show and the real relationships he’s developed with his fans. Part of that is due to John’s graciousness…he thanks us for everything, in writing and verbally, whether it’s for a contribution to one of the causes he supports or for merely giving him a suggestion for his concert.

The natural response to the love John has given each of us is, I think, to want to reciprocate in whatever way we can. And together, our support may be able to fuel the career of an already dedicated, humble, and supremely gifted entertainer to even greater heights. Thanks for a wonderful interview, Steve and Christy.

  15. This interview was such a pleasure to listen to. John is an amazingly articulate, feeling, and kind human being. His words are a testament to the unique nature of both his talent and soul. It is no wonder that he has developed such devoted, loyal fans.Who Loves You , Baby? We do!!!

  16. Howard, you’re just so eloquent!! And as always you’ve so beautifully put into words the feelings that so many of us share.

I too was most of all touched by John Lloyd’s comments about his fans and how much he appreciated them (us). Even though I only saw the show twice, I have wondered the same thing: how can they not be annoyed? Do they really want to pose for *another* picture with Lucy? You’re so right that we just want to give back to him a fraction of what he has given to us.

And on a personal note, thanks to all the wonderful people I’ve been lucky to meet through this experience!

    Lucy

  17. John Lloyd’s ability to make his fans feel good, which is so evident in this interview, is one of the many reasons that there are so many of us. Sharon
