More on Jersey Boys and the Tonys

Before the Tony Award nominations come out tomorrow, here’s a look at one critic’s very long Broadway season, from the very best to a long trail of forgettable evenings at the theater. Jacques Le Sourd from The Journal News reflects on 38 Broadway productions. Here’s what he said about Jersey Boys:

Jersey Boys:
The biggest surprise of the season, this jukebox musical about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons turned out to be a riveting drama, as well as a feast of musical nostalgia. The secret was in the writing, by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice.
