Newsflash: Donnie Kehr to Play ‘Norm Waxman’ in Jersey Boys Movie!

According to his own Facebook page, Broadway veteran Donnie Kehr, will join the cast of the upcoming JERSESY BOYS movie as “Norm Waxman.”

Kehr made his Broadway debut at age twelve in “LEGEND,” a play starring F. Murray Abraham. Other Broadway credits followed such as “THE HUMAN COMEDY,” produced by the legendary Joseph Papp. He created the role of Robert Bascomb in “THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD” for the New York Shakespeare Festival. He was the original pinball lad in “The Who’s TOMMY,” winner of five Tony Awards and a Grammy Award for best theatrical recording, produced by Sir George Martin. In 2003 he co-starred with Toni Braxton in Elton John and Tim Rice’s, “AIDA” on Broadway. Donnie first played “Gyp DeCarlo” in the JERSEY BOYS premiere at La Jolla Playhouse and originated the role of “Norm Waxman” in JERSEY BOYS Broadway. Following his JB Broadway run, Donnie was in “Billy Elliot” on Broadway, and most recently played “Gyp DeCarlo” in the JERSEY BOYS first national tour.

Donnie is the Founder and Executive Producer/Director of Rockers On Broadway the flagship production of The PATH Fund, Inc., a foundation he created to give artists of all kinds an avenue to share their unique talents while helping raise money for charities that benefit the arts and entertainment communities that inspires their livelihood.

  1. Congrats to Donnie! I’m really liking this trend that Clint Eastwood has started, casting the JB stage actors in the film. Hope it continues.

  2. Donnie will make a great Norm. I propose that all the die hard Jersey Boys fans be offered extra roles in the movie. I personally would love to be a patron in the Sea Breeze lounge!
