NEWSFLASH: Jersey Boys Cast Recording Reclaims Number One Spot on Chart!
February 8th, 2007Playbill.com reports that Rhino’s Jersey Boys release reclaims the Number One spot on the Billboard Top Cast Album chart from Decca Broadway’s Wicked, which slips to Number Two.
Last week, the Four Seasons musical original cast recording had dropped to Number Four as Mamma Mia! and Spring Awakening (both on Decca Broadway) edged up one spot each to No. 2 and 3, respectively, behind Wicked. Jersey Boys had previously taken hold of the top slot for four weeks following its big Tony Award win for Best Musical in 2006.

- Jersey Boys
- Wicked
- Mama Mia!
- Spring Awakening
- The Lion King
Jersey Boys Original Cast Recording has also been nominated for a Grammy Award for the Best in the Musical Show Album category. The Grammy Awards will be televised nationally Sunday, February 11th on CBS.
