  2. Welp, I lost it the moment “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” started playing. Of course, I thought it was stupendous! (And that’s an understatement.) I absolutely loved it! I noticed a little smidge here and there that seemed a bit different from the musical (such as Bobby’s intro segment, it doesn’t seem that – like in the musical – Joe Pesci introduced him to the “Four Lovers”) but of course, Hollywood and Broadway are two very different genres — so it’s a change that I naturally expected. For the most part, it seems that the movie’s plot has remained incredibly faithful to the show, and for that, I am tremendously grateful.
But boy, after reading some of the trailer’s hateful comments from certain YouTube ignoramuses (who have probably never even HEARD of the Four Seasons before), I just . . . AH. It hurt.
This movie will be superb. I already know. You can’t go wrong with such great actors, with such a great storyline, AND with such GREAT songs. ;) Can’t wait to hear JLY’s voice echo within the depths of the theatre!

  3. Aside from the USA where and when will the movie be released? The characters look so much better on screen than in the play . This movie is a sure blockbuster!

  4. I think you were right the first time – we’ve ALL been waiting…although not so patiently. And you’re so right – it was worth the wait!!! Just terrific!

  5. It looks like they are capturing enough of the “Godfather”/”Goodfellas”/”Sopranos” aspect to widen the appeal to a younger audience than just the music would have alone. That’s what has to be done to bridge “the generation gap”. I’m careful about predictions (though I predicted in November, 1975 that “December, 1963″ would be a hit from the title alone without even HEARING it!), but I like what I’m seeing so far and I’m impressed.

  6. The film looks great! Do you think we (fans who have followed the show from the beginning) can get tickets to the premiere? Please let us know!

  7. A lot of us have been waiting a very long time for this. How are we going to contain ourselves? Are y’all going to get together for any premieres either in LA or NYC? Where can we find information to attend?

  8. The film looks will be great. I can’t wait until it opens. I am also wondering about tickets to the premiere. I saw the Broadway play for the first time Oct. 12, 2005 and John Lloyd Young was in it and have gone many many times to see it when John Lloyd has returned for limited engagements.
    This movie will be fantastic.
Just can’t wait til June 20. Hope we will be able to get tickets for the premiere!!!
John and the cast look phenomenal, I am so excited to see this trailer. It is GREAT!

  9. The hearty, existing fan base should be used by the marketing team to its advantage. Coordinating opening weekend viewing events (why not WITH special guests? :-) ) across the country can add to that groundswell of buzz, media and sales. How about an option to find ‘fan showing’ times/ locations for opening week on its fb page? I got 10 ideas already… ha!

By the way, I love seeing Donnie Kehr interact with JLY in the trailer. deja vu!
