Photo Coverage: FOOD FOR THOUGHT–John Lloyd Young Artwork Exhibition

John Lloyd Young joined Grammy-winning and Tony- and Emmy-nominated songwriter Allee Willis (The Color Purple, Friends) on May 23 to host FOOD FOR THOUGHT, the world premiere exhibition of Young’s artwork. Young specializes in Pop Kitsch art, and FOOD FOR THOUGHT spotlighted pieces that play off iconic comfort food and drinks, including mac ‘n’ cheese, Good & Plenty®, Grape Crush®, and Hungry-Man® frozen dinners. The event, was a fundraiser for AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA).

    John Lloyd looks like both an actor and a pop artist, especially with the long hair.

  4. This looks like a fun-filled event. I saw these photos yesterday, and today when I was eating a Pop-Tart on the plane, I thought about JLY’s artwork :) Still haven’t seen the Oreo Box yet…that’s the one I want to see! Nice art show for a good cause…but one that should be shared with the East coast, too!
