  6. Charly…I couldn’t believe those weren’t Broadwayworld.com photos- VERY nice. And with all those smiling faces, I’d say JLY isn’t the only one who can’t take a bad pic.

  7. Ditto to all of the above comments. I think a few of those photos may be mine – after checking some pix I remember telling JLY and LEA (sounds kinda like two airports, doesn’t it?) that I must be looking at the two most photogenic people in the whole United States.

The smiles of all were, in part, due to the tremendous warmth of the evening. Nothing like an intimate setting for good, live music of one voice backed by a small combo. The performances were outstanding and I had to smile to myself at the irony of seeing JLY sing CTMEOOY in such a small setting from a distance of like twenty feet, after how huge that song has been for him and for all JB and Four Seasons fans, and particularly cos I never got to see him in JB. He was magnetic and the crowd was very excited to have him there. The after-show hanging was very relaxed and fun; lucky for me I fell in with a good group (thanks for the invite!) and knew I’d have a good time.

But let’s not forget the girl of the hour – Lea Michelle sang incredibly beautifully; I swear I could listen to her voice all day. She chose the perfect selections from Les Miz – very emotional, along with some upbeat and personal chatter and a nice variety of other showtunes (I’m not the Broadway maven so I didn’t know them all) but they including “I Don’t Know How To Love Him” from JLC and a gorgeous rendition of “Easy To Be Hard” from Hair. It’s a good thing she stopped when she did cos otherwise I might have fallen in love. Ha ha ha.

All in all a GREAT night I almost chose to not participate in. Another example of why sometimes you should “just do it!” Thanks to all involved.

  8. Looks like you all had a wonderful time! JLY and Lea (yes, stubbleyou like two airports, you always know how to make me smile!) look great. And I know they both sounded wonderful. I would have loved to hear Lea sing I don’t Know How to Love Him! She has a beautiful voice. Thanks for these pictures Charly!

    Everyone looks beautiful and happy.
I must say JLY looks adorable with Lea.
Any chance they might do Les Miserables on Broadway together?
