Photo Coverage of KCBS SF Jersey Boys Contest!
August 7th, 2007Mama Lucy, a major Jersey Boys fan (and avid JB Blog reader) was chosen as one of the KCBS Radio’s Jersey Boys’ contest winners! Jersey Boys Blog is excited to present Mama Lucy’s story and photos from this exciting event!
August 2nd was a big night for a group of lucky KCBS radio listeners. Accompanied by noted San Francisco Bay Area film and theater critic Jan Wahl, five contest winners and their guests attended a sold out performance of Jersey Boys. After the show, we all got to meet the principles–Jarrod Spector (Frankie), Jeremy Kushnier (Tommy), Michael Ingersoll (Nick) and Ryan Quinn West (Bob Gaudio), who was filling in for Drew Gehling, who was under the weather. This was Ryan’s fifth performances as Bob, and he did a great job.
The boys were charming and generous with their time, signing autographs, answering questions and posing for pictures. I know the other contest winners join me in sending heartfelt thanks to KCBS, Jan Wahl, Ron Del Rosario (KCBS), the Curran Theater and of course, the wonderful Four Seasons!

SO lucky! I haven’t seen Ryan play Bob but I can imagine he does a great job w/ the character.

What a great contest and congratulations to the winners! I’m sure that if there were any first timers, they were definitely in for a huge treat, as evidenced by the photos!
All of the shows I’ve watched only had principals with no substitutions, but am sure that Ryan West really performed Bob Gaudio’s part as good as anyone else!
Great way to have a “meet and greet”! See the show, meet the cast in an intimate setting and don’t have to worry about long lines and big crowds.
