January 29th, 2016

Critics all over SF are welcoming JB back with fantastic reviews! Check out snapshots below!

SFExaminer.com[: “Jersey Boys” is here to stay. A decade after Broadway smash about the rise of the 1960s pop group The Four Seasons began its national tour at the Curran Theatre, the show is back in town at the Orpheum — not to mention continuing record-breaking runs in New York, London and Las Vegas – and all is quite well....“Jersey Boys” remains full of fun, humor and pop sensibilities, from the prelude “Oh, What a Night” to the finale, when the guys make the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,

Pinkeggmedia.com: There’s a lot that can be discussed about their lives and what fame and fortune mean to different people. The one thing that everyone can agree on is that being able to leave something behind like a song (in this case, songs) that will be celebrated way beyond his or her years, is an amazing accomplishment. And all this was squeezed into two and half hours!

Theatreeddys.blogspot.com: Third time around may sound like one too many times for some shows, but for the current touring version of Jersey Boys, this SHN Orpheum Theatre production is yet-again one not to be missed — whether seeing for the first time or the second, third, or whatever time.

Marinscope.com: This production is electrifying, starting with an opening pseudo-rap version of “Oh What A Night,” sung in French. The stage is alive with snazzy pop-art backdrops, a big brass section, and of course, four young guys in shiny suits behind the microphones, belting it out with style. And boy, can they sing!

Director Des McAnuff seems to have found a genetic clone of Franki Valli in Aaron de Jesus. De Jesus hit his falsetto notes higher than the Orpheum’s chandelier, and the audience went wild.
