Royal Teens to Appear at Foxwoods in Connecticut

August 27th, 2008

On November 22nd, 2008 The Royal Teens of “Short Shorts” fame will be one of the featured artists at the “Doo-Wop Hall of Fame of America” show at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut. As you know, the Royal Teens began in 1956 by Bob Gaudio and Tom Austin–and this year, the group is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary of the release of “Short Shorts”!

Also included in the lineup are The Contours (“Do you Love Me”), Johnnie and Joe (“Over the Mountain”), Shep and the Limelites (“Daddy’s Home”), The Diablos (“The Wind”), The Persuasions, and much more.

Tom Austin hopes that some of our fans can drive up to Connecticut to see the show and show their support for The Royal Teens, the group that started it all. The box office number is 1-800-200-2882 or visit www.foxwoods.com.

  1. The Contours’ other big hit, besides, “Do You Love Me?” was “Shake, Sherry, Shake.” Coincidence?

I wonder if Bob Gaudio will actually appear and perform…any guesses?
