ShowBiz411 Scoop: Frankie Valli & 4 Seasons #1 on Amazon & Jersey Boys Movie Soundtrack #4!

June 23rd, 2014

Big scoop from ShowBiz411.com:

Want to know the difference between people who buy CDs on Amazon and who download them from iTunes? It’s easy. The number 1 album on Amazon this morning is “The Very Best of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.” And right behind, at number 4, is the soundtrack to “Jersey Boys.

Over at iTunes, Frankie’s hits are number 15– which isn’t bad at all. And “Jersey Boys” is number 48.

Amazon is older and wiser. iTunes, well, they’re those young whippersnappers.

Either way, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons may not be a draw at the movie box office– “Jersey Boys” made a very meager $13.5 million this weekend and finished in 4th place. But the music lives on. Frankie, who reportedly doesn’t care for the movie very much, must be getting a kick out of this. He should thank Clint Eastwood for putting him back on top of the charts!

Truly not surprised by this chart topping news, are you?

  1. I saw the movie twice now and enjoyed it better the second time. There is so much stuff crammed into the two hour plus show you cant get it all on first viewing. there is no doubt in my mind that this movie has a long life ahead of it. I always loved the “Dead End Kids” and these Dead End kids can sing. they sing like Angels with dirty faces.
And if you dont know who the Dead End kids are, go see the JB movie you will love it.

  2. Maybe some of David’s Bugs of Britain and Beach Bum friends finally decided that “They Should Have Had a V8″, or in this case, an FV4S.

  3. My wife and I have seen the movie twice, and we both enjoyed it more the second time. The first time we were comparing it too much to the Broadway show (what was missing, what changed, what we liked, what we didn’t), and the second time we went and watched it for what it was, a great movie. If for nothing else, see the movie for the outstanding ending. You’ll love it!
