The Four Seasons On Candid Camera!

  1. This television appearance is very, very, very rare. If you didn’t happen to be watching the Candid Camera show that particular Sunday night in 1967 you probably didn’t see it. As I recall, Candid Camera was on at 10:30 on Sunday nights on CBS, which was Channel 2 here in NJ/NY. My recollection was that Candid Camera was edited very late in the week so there was no advance of who might appear on the show or what skits or embarrassing situations might take place on any particular night’s show. The “stars were in allignment” that night as I was watching the show, which was a highly rated show at that time, and to my suprise there they were.

    Another very rare appearance would be Joe Long’s appearance on “To Tell The Truth.” I don’t know how people dig these clips up but let’s see someone try to come up with that one.

  3. lol! oh my gosh. that was so hilarous! those girls were having heart attacks. i don’t blame them though. i would react the same way to the Four Seasons or any of the JB casts.

  4. Hi Jennifer,
    Just did a quick Youtube search for “Four Seasons” and found this video from “Candid Camera.” I never, ever knew they were on that show, so it was a big surprise.

    David, hope someone out there will find us Joe Long’s appearance on “To Tell The Truth”!

  5. What an absolute treasure, Susie; thanks so much for posting this. It’s a double treat for me; my favorite group as a teen, and my mom’s all-time favorite TV personality, Bess Myerson.

    You must have been a wild teen, David, to keep such late hours. “My mom wanted me in bed by 10.”

  7. I am finally going to have the opportunity to see “JERSEY BOYS” on Friday, July 20, 2007 – after waiting 13 months for tickets!

    I grew up listening to The 4 Seasons. Their style, musical creativity, and recording production have greatly influenced my life and career. I am a music teacher in PA and the leader of a 10-piece rock/variety band. And, of course, we play some “Seasoned” material for our audiences. “CAN’T TAKE MY EYES OFF YOU” is a tremendous crowd pleaser.

    Hopefully on 7/20, maybe Frankie or Bob will attend the show.
